PONTUS, Neocaesarea. Gordian III. AD 238-244. Æ 29mm (15.71 g). Dated CY 178 (AD 241/242). Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Agonistic crown with palms atop table; below table, kantharos; to either side, a palm. RG 52; SNG von Aulock 6762 (same obverse die). VF, reddish-brown patina with some green, several light cleaning scratches on the obverse.
